Hi I'm John Nisbet the founder of Double B Discos, So how did it all start?

We started djing in 1974 when i was with my future brother in law, he was actually the dj to start and I was hired as the driver and the person with the equipment, we had custom made speakers and were covering a lot of work for a company called (Spin-A-Disc Promotions) including nightclubs and bars in Sowerby Bridge and a nightclub in Mixenden.
Double B Discos was formed in 1974 and this is when we became a major player in the industry providing about 13 dj's with gigs on a self employed basis, our service fees for the night was £4.00, as the company grew and so did our cliental base, throughout the years we gained more and more contracts for work, including the Council often working at their bar in Northgate house and gaining lots of contracts to dj at middle schools.
We became a regular face at Foggys in Boothtown, right up to the current day we have never looked back.
With our average price starting from £180 for 4 hrs today our prices haven't really increased that much over the 48 years if you consider the £4.00 was in old money as they say.

We have always stood by our slogan (Your occasion is our destination) and work with you from your original enquiry to the end of your party, we want you to have a good night, we want you to return and book again this is why feedback is important to us so we can learn when we need to change our approach.
